The first meeting of the Section for Project Management Office in 2022 was held in the premises of the Serbian Project Management Association, and representatives of the following companies attended it: Telekom Srbija, GMP Gramont Novi Sad, and Dunav RE. The meeting topic was \u201ePossible forms of the organizational structure of PMO,\u201d intending to reveal the best solutions for the formation and functioning of PMO.<\/p>\n

Prof. Ivana Beri\u0107, Ph.D., Vice President of the Serbian Project Management Association, introduced participants to the current trends in the organization of a PMO and emphasized the importance of aligning the structure of a PMO with the needs of the organization, as well as the importance of aligning projects with goals and strategy of the organization.<\/p>\n

The meeting participants discussed possible forms of organizational structure, work methods, and accountabilities of a PMO and exchanged knowledge and experience in organising, developing, and leading PMO in their companies. The meeting participants concluded that the role of a PMO is significant for achieving strategic goals and successful project, program, and portfolio management. They have also agreed that the incremental implementation of the PMO is the best way for its deployment within the organization.<\/p>\n

The Section for Project Management Office meeting has improved the cooperation between section members, and the priorities for further work and development of the section have been defined.<\/p>\n
