
30 Apr Representatives of IPMA Serbia participated in the 13th Research Conference
Representatives of IPMA Serbia participated in the 13th IPMA Research Conference, which was held in Dubai from 9 to 11 April 2025. The conference brought together the world’s leading experts and researchers in the field of project management, and this year’s theme was “Honoring 60 years of Project Management: Leading the Way into the Future”. Participants had the opportunity to exchange scientific and practical knowledge, as well as to present the results of the latest research in this dynamic field.
Prof. Dr. Vladimir Obradović, Vice President Finance & Operations, officially opened the 13th IPMA Research Conference. In his introductory address, he emphasized the importance of connecting the academic community and practice, as well as the role of scientific research in the further development of project management at the global level.
Also, Prof. Obradović, Editor-in-Chief of the European Project Management Journal, participated as a panelist at the “Meet the Editors Panel” during the 13th IPMA Research Conference. The panel brought together distinguished editors: Dr. Martina Huemann, Dr. Ralf Müller, Dr. Nathalie Drouin, Dr. Vladimir Obradovic, Dr. Mladen Vukomanovic, of the following leading journals in the field of project management:

Sara Stojiljković, Project Management Associate at IPMA Serbia, presented the paper entitled “Mapping Competences for Successful Project Management in the Public Sector: A Model Proposal” co-authored by Prof. Dr. Marija Todorovic and Prof. Dr. Vladimir Obradović. The aim of this paper is to identify and systematize the key competencies necessary for successful project management in the public sector. A model that combines theoretical starting points and practical requirements of modern management was also presented, with the aim of improving the efficiency and effectiveness of project engagement in public administration.
Prof. Dr. Marija Todorović, Research Coordinator, participated in the work of the Research Awards Panel, thus contributing to the selection of the best candidates for research awards, encouraging quality and excellence in scientific work in the field of project management.
At the IPMA Global Research Awards 2025 award ceremony, which was held as part of the 13th IPMA Research Conference, Alessandra Montenegro, PhD student of Prof. Dr. Vladimir Obradović, received a prestigious award for her doctoral thesis entitled “Project Resilience Management Model”.
At the very end, Prof. Dr. Vladimir Obradovic moderated the Distinguished Professor panel, which contributed to the exchange of knowledge and experience among leading experts in the field of project management, and then presented awards to recognized professors for their outstanding contribution to the scientific community.
