IPMA Global Project Profession Forum in London

The IPMA Global Project Profession Forum (PPF) has officially opened in London, bringing together project management professionals, innovators, researchers, and leaders from around the world.

During the opening of the forum, Prof. Dr. Vladimir Obradović, IPMA Vice President for Finance & Operations, emphasized the strategic importance of competence development, the integration of research, and global governance in shaping the future of the project profession. He highlighted that interdisciplinarity is not just an advantage, but a necessity in contemporary project management.

Significant attention was drawn to the breakout session “IPMA: Future Project Perspectives”, which gathered IPMA’s leading representatives to share their views on the directions in which the project profession is evolving.

Among the key participants were representatives of IPMA Serbia – Prof. Dr. Vladimir Obradović, IPMA Vice President for Finance & Operations, and Vladana Stepanović, Head of the IPMA Global Awards Program. Their contribution strongly enriched the discussion on the future of competences, professional standards, and the development of project teams in a world of accelerated change.

Moderated by Mary McKinlay, IPMA Honorary Fellow, the panel opened essential questions about how the role of the project manager is being redefined, which competences will be crucial in the coming years, and how organizations can achieve excellence through integrated management models.

The discussion was highly interactive, engaging the audience through questions, comments, and ideas that enriched the session and fostered a strong sense of community within the global IPMA network.
